PRESS RELEASE by John Bloodsworth of Publicity Ranch
DADO group – Architecture / Construction is a San Antonio based company offering both commercial and residential clients single-source design and construction services. Kristin Wiese Hefty leads the architectural division of DADO group as Clay Hefty partners as head of the construction division of the design/build firm.
The design/construction relationship began with small collaborations. The architects and construction team share a passion for contemporary regional design. They are committed to sustainable architecture, respecting the site upon which a structure resides while employing environmentally conscious design techniques. A design preference for incorporating regional materials not only brings aesthetic grace to their projects, it lessens the carbon imprint by decreasing the amount of energy needed for production or transportation of materials.
Forming a design/build firm with husband Clay Hefty back in 2008, her team began to take on numerous design/build commercial projects including corporate offices for Sweet Leaf Tea in Austin, The Monterey restaurant in San Antonio’s South Town and the recently opened Granary ‘Cue & Brew at The Pearl.
DADO group’s current projects fall in the $500,000 to $5 million range with commercial and residential work in the south and central Texas area. Projects of varied size, scope and budget will be serviced to meet client needs, whether they are comprehensive design/build or limited to design or construction only.
DADO group is an architect led firm that will take projects from concept to completion with efficiency, creativity, and continuity. Their working model is based on a design-centered process that is supported by carefully documented and controlled project management methods. The new collaborative is developing a creative culture that plans to take regional architecture far beyond its current borders.
